Membership
T-BUG is made of Blackboard users, primarily in Texas. We are in the process of working on obtaining non-profit status. We have an Executive Board (see Board Members below) that is overseeing the non-profit status application and the annual conference.
There is no membership fee (currently) - if you attend a conference, you are a defacto member! Unless you tell us otherwise (email us at info@t-bug.org).
T-BUG Executive Board
The Executive Board is first charged with creating By-Laws and the documents necessary to file for non-profit status with the State of Texas and for tax-exempt status with the IRS.
President - Rhonda Blackburn, UT Dallas
(Rhonda will serve an initial 1-year term to help get T-BUG off the ground as a non-profit organization. After this first year, we will no longer elect a president, as the President-elect will become take over.)President-elect - Trish Trifilo, Hardin-Simmons University
(The President-elect will serve a 2-year term, the first year as president-elect and the second year as President.)Secretary - Michelle Chandler, Lone Star College
(The Secretary will serve 1-year term for this forst year; thereafter the term will be 2 years.)Treasurer - Scott Dillingham, UT Tyler
(The Treasurer will serve a 2-year term and will work closely with our agent, Debby Butler, to analyze and maintain the organization's finances and budget.)CIO - Chief Information Officer - Wade Ashby, Hardin-Simmons University(The CIO will serve a 2-year term and will oversee the organization's technology and marketing.)
